ABOUT US
Marshwood Youth Lacrosse (MYL) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to providing a positive, inclusive, and development-focused lacrosse experience for youth in the Marshwood community. We serve boys and girls in grades 1 through 8 from Eliot, South Berwick, and surrounding areas that do not offer a local lacrosse program.
Our Mission
Marshwood Youth Lacrosse’s mission is to encourage and promote the sport of lacrosse while supporting the physical and emotional well-being of its participants. We are committed to providing a fun, inclusive, and well-rounded lacrosse experience that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth for youth in our community.
Who We Are
MYL is led by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported entirely by parents and community members who manage all aspects of the program. This includes registration, scheduling, equipment, safety standards, fundraising, and overall program operations.
Our volunteer-driven structure allows us to keep the program accessible while maintaining a high standard of organization, fairness, and player development. We believe youth sports play an important role in building confidence, character, and community—both on and off the field.
Get Involved
Marshwood Youth Lacrosse relies on volunteers to operate and grow. Whether serving on the Board, coaching, helping with equipment or events, or supporting fundraising efforts, every volunteer plays a meaningful role in the success of our program.
Getting involved is a great way to support our players, strengthen our community, and help ensure MYL continues to provide a positive experience for all families. No prior lacrosse experience is required—just a willingness to help and a commitment to our mission.
